  • Il contributo si interroga sui mutamenti del pensiero utopico intervenuti intorno alla soglia del secondo conflitto mondiale. In particolare ci si domanda se nelle politiche urbane dello stato sociale, che si sviluppano negli stati democratici nel secondo dopoguerra, sia possibile rintracciare il permanere di un «nucleo utopico», definito nei suoi tratti generali dalle poetiche e dottrine dell'urbanistica moderna tra gli anni '20 e '30 del Novecento. È possibile cioè ipotizzare uno slittamento dell'utopia dalle poetiche macchiniste del bonheur humain alle politiche del welfare state? [Testo dell'editore].
  • The contribution investigates on the changes in utopian thinking intervened around the threshold of the second world conflict. In particular it questions whether in urban policies of the welfare state, which develop in the democratic states after the Second World War, it is possible to trace the permanence of a «utopian nucleus», defined in its general aspects by poetics and doctrines of modern urban planning between the 1920s and the1930s. Is it therefore possible to hypothesize a change of position of the utopia from the bonheur humain poetics to the welfare state policies? [Publishers' text].
