  • Dopo una premessa di Pier Francesco Galli, vengono ripubblicate le parole introduttive di Gaetano Benedetti a una Giornata di studio su "La formazione degli psichiatri" organizzata l'11 dicembre 1966 dal "Gruppo Milanese per lo Sviluppo della Psicoterapia" (che dagli anni 1970 prenderà il nome di Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane). Seguono poi le sintesi delle relazioni di Christian Müller e Johannes Cremerius che illustrano i modelli formativi rispettivamente in Svizzera e in Germania, e il progetto di un "ospedale di insegnamento" (teaching hospital) presentato dal "Gruppo Milanese per lo Sviluppo della Psicoterapia" che fu poi attuato a Sondrio nel 1967 (il progetto di questo teaching hospital era stato pubblicato anche nel n. 1/1967 di Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane). Questo teaching hospital voleva essere un progetto pilota per la formazione degli psichiatri in Italia, dove vi era un grosso ritardo culturale e l'Università, ancora incentrata sull'insegnamento della neurologia, non era attrezzata a soddisfare il

Vengono discusse le varie resistenze mostrate dalle amministrazioni pubbliche e dal sistema universitario italiano nei confronti del cambiamento di certe logiche di potere. Viene ripubblicato anche il Dibattito, con circa 20 interventi, che seguì alla relazione del 1966. [Testo dell'editore].
  • After a premise by Pier Francesco Galli, the introduction by Gaetano Benedetti to a meeting on "The training of psychiatrists" organized on December 11, 1966, by the "Milan Group for the Advancement of Psychotherapy" (which in the 1970s took the name of Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane) is reprinted, together with summaries of the papers by Christian Müller and Johannes Cremerius who described, respectively, the training models in Switzerland and Germany. Finally, the project of a teaching hospital presented by the "Milan Group for the Advancement of Psychotherapy" is described in detail; this project, implemented in the city of Sondrio (Italy) in 1967, was aimed at disseminating a method of psychiatric training in Italy where the university system, at the time still based on the teaching of neurology, was unprepared to face the growing need of psychiatrists.
