MehrKasva means “a jar or pitcher”. The word appears in the Torah exactly once, where it describes the solid-gold vessels made to hold sacrificial wine and oil in the Tabernacle the Israelites carried with them in their desert wanderings. We believe that a good book is a vessel for the fluid thoughts of its author — its words, the outpouring of the writer’s soul, as precious as the sanctified wine and oil of the Tabernacle. It is our aim to provide worthy vessels for our authors’ creations.
