The Doctrine of Double-Creation and the Conception of History in Eriugena's Periphyseon

- This article takes up Eriugena's interpretation of the doctrine of the double creation, both of the world and of man, and gives an analysis of the section of the Periphyseon known as Eriugena's "Hexaemeron". It will be pointed out that sin and creation coincide, and both are causes and initial moments of historical development, while the realization of the human nature in the deficatio will coincide with the end of history. ï»Â¿[Publisher's text].
- L'articolo analizza l'interpretazione eriugeniana della dottrina della doppia creazione del mondo e dell'uomo, concentrandosi sulla sezione del Periphyseon nota come "Esamerone eriugeniano". Si vedrà come peccato e creazione coincidano, rappresentando entrambi la causa e il momento iniziale dello sviluppo storico, mentre la realizzazione della natura umana nella deificatio coinciderà con la fine della storia.
